Privacy Policy
Snapd is an internal tool used only by its owner, an independent reseller, to manage their own inventory, listings, and sales. This policy explains what data Snapd collects, how it is used and protected, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- The owner’s business records. Item photos, descriptions, condition, purchase cost, listing details, sale prices, fees, shipping costs, and profit per item.
- Account details. The owner’s sign-in details, used only to restrict access to the account owner.
- Marketplace account data. When the seller connects their own account on a marketplace where they sell, Snapd receives that account’s listings, orders, and sales through the marketplace’s official APIs, and only with the seller’s authorization. The seller can revoke that authorization at any time.
We never ask for or store marketplace passwords. Sign-in and authorization happen on the marketplace’s own pages.
How we use it
We use data only to provide Snapd to the seller who authorized it: keeping inventory records, preparing and managing that seller’s listings, fulfilling their orders, and tracking their costs and profit.
Buyers and other marketplace users
Orders can include details about buyers, such as a name and shipping address. We use these details only to fulfill and record that order, keep only what is needed, and never use them for marketing or to contact anyone outside the order.
What we never do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data or marketplace data.
- We do not use data for advertising, and we do not act as a data broker.
- We do not use marketplace data to build a competing service.
- We do not use marketplace data to train machine learning or AI models.
- We do not use trackers or analytics on this website.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers that host Snapd and its database on our behalf. They are bound by confidentiality and may use the data only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
Retention
We keep data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for. Marketplace data is refreshed or deleted as that marketplace’s terms require. If the seller disconnects a marketplace account, we stop accessing it and delete the data we obtained from it, except records we must keep by law, such as tax records.
Your choices and deletion
You can ask to see, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Use the contact details below. We will confirm your request and respond within 30 days.
Marketplace account deletion
When a marketplace notifies us that one of its users has closed their account or asked for their data to be deleted, we delete the personal data we hold about that user. Deletion is permanent. We keep data only where a specific legal requirement, such as tax law, makes us retain it.
Security
- Data is encrypted in transit and stored with encryption at rest.
- Access is restricted to the account owner.
- Credentials and access tokens are kept in a managed secret store, never in code.
If we learn of a security incident affecting your data, we will act to contain it and notify affected people as the law requires.
Children
Snapd is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Where data is processed
Snapd is operated from the United States. Data is stored and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its last updated date.
